.wav File won't play on Q

Have an interesting problem with my Q... we have recently upgraded our phone system and it sends out an e-mail with a .wav file attached when someone leaves a message at the company I work at. I travel quite a bit and would like to listen to these messages on my Q, however the system says after downloading the file
"Cannot play back the audio stream: the audio format is not supproted"
Is there a patch or upgrade I can make to the windows media player to allow my phone to play these files????

If your IT department can't solve the problem for you, Pocket Player may not be a free aplication, but it'll let you play .WAV files on Windows Mobile Standard.

TCPMP is a free version of the Core Media Player. It also plays .wav files. Make sure you get the correct one. Once is for WM 5 and 6, the other is for WM 6.1
