Post How to Play Old-School Nintendo on Your Smartphone

Earlier this month, we posted a video on how to run Super Nintendo (SNES) on your Windows Mobile phone from AllShadow.com. Well, as a continuation of the series, Mike Benton has created an instructional video on running 8-bit old-school Nintendo, all with free software. Caution: may cause moments of nostalgia when you rediscover the secret worlds in Super Mario Bros 3 =D.

in SMB 3, first level, first white block, hold down for 3 secs

This will let you run in the background, always remember this from the NES days

Yes - and you get the whistle, allowing you to warp to other worlds. Fun.

Second warp whistle? Where?

Remember the P-Wings?

HAHA of course I do! I use to be soooo.. good at this.

Ok. This is so long ago I don't remember exactly where in these two options:

1. The second Warp Whistle was in a secret continuation of one of the worlds in the first section (World 1, 2 or 3). I think it was in the desert world 2. What I remember is that you would get a hammer from somewhere and break a rock placed in the top right corner of the world, just before going to the Castle to fight. This would lead to an extra, secret section, where you'd get it.

2. I remember there was a world with a floating ship. I don't remember how to call on the ship, but it would hold it at the end. This floating ship was so complicated to beat, you'd need a P-Wing to finish it off.

I remember there were actually 3 warp whistles, but it wasn't always convenient to use them all. You actually only needed one to get to world 8, so using the rest would only send you back to older worlds.

hehehe.. enjoy!

By the way,

Does anybody have the Ninja Gaiden Trilogy working or found the ROM?

Now this would bring back memories of the best game of all time, in my opinion , obviously.

Ninja Gaiden 1
Ninja Gaiden 2
Ninja Gaiden 3

Really in my opinion, the games which are released nowadays cant hold down the gameplay of the old school classics, I am currently on World 6 (SMB 3 - Ice world - no whistle used) and its a killer

Nintendo should do like a 25 year anniversary addition of NES with all games preloaded. I'd definitely buy one. Heck, I'd buy more than one to give to my kids (of which I have none right now)!
