According to Engadget Mobile, AT&T is going to be getting the HTC Touch Pro to replace the aging Tilt as the premier touchscreen QWERTY slider. The device is said to be coming soon to Big Blue, so if you haven't gotten a Tilt, you may want to hold out for the Touch Pro. AT&T's version will be called the Fuze.

Aging? Is less than a year old "aged" now days? In terms of features the only thing the Touch Pro brings is the VGA screen, and a slightly faster CPU ... correct?
It all comes down to form factor. * The Touch Pro is smaller, but that means a 5 row keyboard packed into an even smaller area. It is nearly as thick as the Tilt. * The Touch Pro lacks the scroll wheel, and loses 5 hardware buttons. * Unless they have done some power management magic that faster CPU Touch Pro (528mhz) still comes with same capacity battery (1340mah) as the Tilt has (1350mah with a 400mhz CPU). As with most devices there will be people who love and hate it. Considering the 6.1 ROM for the Tilt is due out any day now, I'm not considering my Tilt dead just yet. The Tilt is anything but dead, but in this market a year makes a BIG difference.
When it comes to the differences between the Touch Pro and the Tilt It's not just form factor: as per pdadb.net You already mentioned that the Touch Pro has VGA. You mentioned that the Touch Pro has a faster processor (528MHz vs 400MHz). The Touch Pro also has more RAM (288/256MB vs 128MB). The Touch Pro supposedly has an FM Radio. The Touch Pro has a faster USB port (480MB vs 12MB). The Touch Pro has video out. The Touch Pro has a built-in flash (such as it is). All of that is quite a bit more for only the 1 year that has passed since the release of the Tilt.
