SanDisk is planning on a 128 GB microSD card option by the year 2011. That's a lot of music, pictures, and movies! Currently the highest capacity card available is a 16 GB microSDHC card. The new 128 GB card will probably utilize the microSDHC standard.

The MicroSDHC standard is only expandable up to 32GB, so unless we're talking about a card with four partitions, they are going to need a new standard.
I'm sure a new standard will be announced soon, though. SDHC was announced right around the time manufacturers were hitting the 2GB mark, and 32GB cards will be here next year. ...Exciting times! |
